CPA candidates pass initial examination

Kansas Board of Accountancy announces area candidates who successfully passed the computerized examination in the January/February 2009 exam window.

As of April, 10,839 individuals have been issued CPA certificates, of which 3,727 hold active permits to practice.

Passage of the national exam is the first step to becoming a certified public accountant.

Area candidates include Susan Gibler, Baldwin City, and Jeremy Fischer and Anita White, both of Lawrence.
