Free State’s Miller signs with SD School of Mines

Free State High senior Jake Miller recently signed a letter of intent to join the basketball program at the South Dakota School of Mines next season.

Miller, a two-year starter for the Firebirds, was among the team leaders in scoring, field-goal percentage, blocked shots and assists this season. He leaves FSHS as the school’s record holder in single-game scoring after a 35-point outburst against Olathe East in January.

Miller joins Lawrence High product and longtime friend Lance Kilburn in signing with the Hardrockers.
