Power restored to central Lawrence

Power has been restored to all Westar Energy customers after an early-morning power failure.

Lawrence police dispatch received a call at 6:46 a.m. Thursday about arcing power lines at 19th and Iowa, and a few minutes later received another call about problems with a transformer at 15th and Iowa streets.
