Construction manager earns accreditation

Mar Lan Construction of Lawrence announces Eric Englert, estimator and project manager, achieved LEED Accredited Professional status in March by passing the exam.

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a voluntary third-party rating system designed by the U.S. Green Building Council. Mar Lan Construction is a member of the USGBC, a nonprofit organization whose vision is a sustainable built environment within a generation through a comprehensive family of certification systems, educational offerings, conferences and a network of chapters.

Englert, a Kansas native, earned an environmental studies degree from Kansas University in 1998.

He has been with Mar Lan Construction since July 2007 and has more than 15 years of construction experience in various fields.
