Concert to raise funds for medical care
Co-workers of a Lawrence man with a diagnosis of intestinal cancer plan a benefit concert May 9 at Liberty Hall, 644 Mass.
Rick Carr has received a diagnosis of cancer of the small intestine, and given a prognosis of two years. His co-workers at MartinLogan and friends arranged the concert to raise money for the extra costs of his treatment. Tickets, which are $10, are available at Liberty Hall; Lawrence Athletic Club, 3201 Mesa Way; Mass. Street Music, 1347 Mass.; and MartinLogan, 2101 Del. Each $10 additional donation enters the purchaser into a drawing for MartinLogan speakers.
The concert, which starts at 7 p.m., will feature the Kingstonians with Ras Neville, the Midday Ramblers and Doofus.
