The Lawrence Youth Ensemble will conduct auditions next week for its original play “Home: On the Road.”

Auditions are set for 6 p.m. May 8 at the South Park Gazebo. The audition is open to ages 13-18. No prepared material is necessary.

The play celebrates the city’s history and present-day Lawrence. The performance will “tour” through city parks at the end of June.

The Youth Ensemble’s summer theater camp for youth ages 6-13 will be 3:30-5:30 p.m. weekdays, June 1-12.

The camp is free, and all youth are welcome, regardless of theater experience. A total of 45 spots are available.
