It makes sense to me to cancel a baseball or soccer game scheduled for today.

better to cancel now than crash the car on ice and snow pack later.

Ice and snow pack don't mean doopie to me. I will be at the yart sale tomorrow. I am all out of yarts and in dire need of some more. I need them to sew my custom made shower curtain. I'm making a remake of Psycho to put on You Tube. You betcha!

Yard Sale, Art Sale, Yart Sale. It's an annual event with over 30 years under its belt. Don't worry about it. Everything will be okay, rogue "t"s and wordplay and all.

gotcha ;) Just have never heard of that one before, thought it was a typo as there typically are so many going on.
But, wish they'd just reschedule instead of doing it during 4-8 inches of snow.
