To the editor:

The former Bush/Cheney administration is the toxic pustule that keeps on giving. Respected, award-winning journalist Seymour Hersh stated on March 11 that, under former Vice President Cheney, there was an ongoing covert military operation that Hersh called an “executive assassination ring.”

These military death squads reported directly to Cheney and had no congressional oversight. This is illegal, as well as more reflective of a banana republic than the “bright, shining city on a hill” that our country states it strives for.

With the little that we know (the tip of the iceberg?), is there anyone who can say that Bush and Cheney have not caused a cancer to grow in our country, upon our highest ideals? Cut this oozing, noxious tumor out! Investigate, investigate, investigate and, where laws have been broken, prosecute, prosecute, prosecute!!
