To the editor:

I want to thank everybody involved in the search for my stolen power chair, particularly Jesse Fray, 6News, KLWN, KLZR and the Lawrence Journal-World for making my plight known. Without their help, my chair may have never been returned! Whoever did take it decided that it would be better found in TWO pieces. They had removed the chair part and, in doing so, broke off the cord to recharge it and make it useable again.

I guess, I want to thank the general population of Lawrence for their rallying around a fellow citizen, showing their support and concern and especially to those that called offering loaner chairs and even a free replacement chair! All in all, obviously, I’m VERY disappointed in the person stealing the chair, but my faith in Lawrence as a whole as been renewed and I feel safe in referring this great city to others looking to relocate!

Thank you, Lawrence, for giving me my freedom back! May God bless — and of course, ROCK CHALK!
