Monstrous acts
To the editor:
In response to Craig Tucker’s letter in the March 16 Journal-World: Human beings are not monsters, although, unfortunately, they may perform monstrous acts.
I encourage our state legislators to reject the death penalty because it makes our society, Kansas and all of us, complicit in a monstrous act. Abolish the death penalty and acknowledge our shared humanity.
