The Kansas women’s basketball team learned Monday night that they would not pick up an invitation to the women’s NCAA Tourrnament.

They will, however, play in the WNIT. Late Monday night, the WNIT announced the Kansas was one of 16 teams that would have a bye in the first round.

In the second round, KU will meet the winner of Saturday’s Creighton-UC Riverside game at 7 p.m. Monday at Allen Fieldhouse.
