The National Weather Service allowed a severe thunderstorm watch to expire, but rain will continue to fall during the early morning on Sunday.

An urban and stream flood advisory for Douglas County had been issued overnight, but police dispatchers said there were no reports of streams flooding in the county.

At 5:20 a.m., Westar Energy was reporting less than 20 power outages in Douglas County.

Douglas County Emergency Management said the storm that moved through southern Douglas County produced nickel-size hail while a later storm in Lawrence produced pea-sized hail and in Eudora quarter-sized hail.

Another line of storms reached Lawrence at 5:30 a.m. Sunday but were not as severe as the hail-producing storms from Saturday night.

Severe thunderstorm warnings had been issued for Douglas and surrounding counties overnight as strong storm cells moved through the area. Hail and damaging winds reaching 60 mph were reported in some areas. Flash flood warnings had been issued for Douglas and Osage counties.

A small amount of rotation had also been spotted in a cell near Osage City, however no tornado watch was issued.
