Disturbing view

To the editor:

I was made privy to a conversation between a group of teenagers the other day. They were sharing the stories of “what I am going to do when I grow up.” One young woman was talking about how she saw herself married in her early 20s and then divorced by 30. This did not disturb me as much as what I heard next. Another person in the group pointed out the cynical attitude toward marriage and then posed the dilemma of children being present. She replied there would be no children because “there is always abortion.”

Is this where the abortion advocacy has taken us? Has a human life become as disposable as so much refuse? We hear the defense of abortion from our president that does not wish his child be “punished” by an unwanted pregnancy. This same man drastically expands health care to include more children in the coverage but could not care a whit about the most weak and vulnerable in our midst.

When did the Constitution of the United State cease to represent ALL of its citizens? Rest assured, if someone in society decides your life is unwanted or inconvenient, you could be next.
