Registration continues for races of the Lynn Electric Kansas Marathon on April 19 in Lawrence.

The 2009 races include a half-marathon, 10K and 5K. Organizers plan to include a full marathon in April 2010.

The races benefit the Health Care Access Clinic, which serves uninsured and low-income patients in Douglas County.

Registration is available online at kansasmarathon.com. Brochures to mail in registration are also available at the Web site.

The half-marathon entry fee is $40. The 10K costs $25, and the 5K is $20. Race organizer Ryan Robinson said he expected the races to have 1,000 to 1,500 participants on race day.
