An Oskaloosa man received minor injuries Friday afternoon, after rolling his pickup truck multiple times, a sheriff’s spokesman said.

The accident occurred about 3:50 p.m. at U.S. Highway 59 and North 1900 Road, north of Lawrence and west of Lawrence Municipal Airport.

Douglas County Sheriff’s Sgt. Steve Lewis said the truck was traveling north on the highway and attempting to pass a group of vehicles in front of him, when he hit a northbound vehicle in front of him that was turning left onto North 1900 Road.

The driver of the pickup, Richard Grant, of Oskaloosa, received minor injuries and had to be extricated from the truck, Lewis said.

The driver of the other vehicle, Toby Tekolste, Lawrence, was not hurt.
