Lawrence police issued citations to three people for skinny-dipping in a Lawrence pool Sunday.

Officers found a 22-year-old man standing naked in the pool at Melrose Court Apartment Homes, 1605 Tenn., a police report said. Officers said a 21-year-old woman and a 20-year-old woman also had been swimming without tops.

All three were issued notices to appear in court for indecent exposure.

Police were called to the apartment complex after a report that several adults were swimming in the nude.

The individuals cited were not residents of the apartment complex, but said they had been swimming with other people who lived there, police said. Another man at the scene had swimming trunks on when officers arrived.
