LMH offers driver-safety course

Lawrence Memorial Hospital will have an AARP driver safety program specifically designed for mature drivers.

The class will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 29 and June 30 in meeting room A of the hospital, 325 Maine.

Seniors interested in improving their driving skills and possibly reducing their insurance costs are invited to attend both days.

Topics covered will include the basics of defensive driving, age-related physical changes that can affect driving, protection from crime and road rage, and avoiding serious accidents. No test will be administered at the class.

Advance enrollment is required.

A one-hour break will be provided each day for participants to eat lunch. A $10 fee will be charged for the course.
