Officials respond to report of fall inside building at Eighth and Vermont streets
A construction worker was hospitalized Friday afternoon after a fall inside a building that is being renovated in the 100 block of west Eighth Street.
Authorities believe the fall, which occurred shortly after 3 p.m., was only about 10 feet.
The worker, who is reported to be in his 50s, was responsive at the scene and was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
