Kansas ranks 25th in women’s crowds

Kansas University ranked 25th nationally in women’s basketball attendance last season by averaging a school-record 4,109 fans a game.

KU’s average crowd was spiked by the Big 12-record 16,113 fans who witnessed the Jayhawks play South Florida in the WNIT championship game in Allen Fieldhouse.

Kansas ranked eighth in average Big 12 attendance behind Iowa State (9,754), Oklahoma (9,007), Texas Tech (8,576), Baylor (6,558), Texas (5,288), Texas A&M (5,256) and Kansas State (4,625).

Trailing the Jayhawks were Oklahoma State (3,258), Nebraska (3,211), Colorado (1,969) and Missouri (1,605).
