Financial aid director gives presentation

Julia Rombough, Lawrence, gave a presentation May 5 to the Kansas Board of Regents’ Private Postsecondary Advisory Commission.

Rombough is financial aid director of Pinnacle Career Institute, and a member of the Kansas Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators.

Rombough presented topics on new lending sources, lending policy updates, the College Cost and Reduction Access Act, College Goal Sunday and completing the free 2009-2010 application for Federal Student Aid.

The Kansas Board of Regents appoints the nine-member Private Postsecondary Advisory Commission. Members are Gerald Lauber, Deborah Thompson, Dr. Herb Songer, Jeremy Cooper, David Parmenter, Tunya Carr, Dr. Linda Riley, Jerrad Tauz and Lee Lookingbill.

The meeting was also attended by representatives from private postsecondary schools approved to operate in the state.
