Home games against UCLA and Michigan highlight next season’s Kansas University women’s basketball schedule.

The Jayhawks, who reached the 2009 WNIT championship game last season, will entertain Michigan and UCLA on Nov. 22 and Dec. 3, respectively.

Following a pair of exhibition games against Emporia State and Pittsburg State, the KU women will open the regular season against Oral Roberts on Nov. 15, then travel to Iowa on Nov. 18 before playing host to Michigan.

During the Thanksgiving Weekend, the Jayhawks will travel to Grand Bahama Island where they’ll participate in the Junkaroo Jam. Coach Bonnie Henrickson’s team will meet Xavier in the Jam opener. TCU and Minnesota are also in that four-team tourney.

UCLA’s visit on Dec. 3 will begin a string of five straight home games. Also scheduled during that span are Northern Colorado (Dec. 6), UMKC (Dec. 10), Creighton (Dec. 13) and UC-Riverside (Dec. 20).

KU will make a pre-Christmas trip to Houston University on Dec. 22, then return after the holidays for a Dec. 30 home game against Pepperdine.

The Jayhawks’ nonconference slate will conclude with a trip to New Mexico State on Jan. 3. KU’s conference schedule will be announced at a later date.
