Phone service to be interrupted again at housing authority

Phones at the Lawrence-Douglas County Housing Authority’s administrative offices will be out of service again for about an hour Thursday morning due to continuing maintenance on a scheduled upgrade.

Starting at 9 a.m. Thursday, the outage will affect the housing authority’s main office, 1600 Haskell Ave., plus the offices at Babcock Place, 1700 Mass., and resident services office, 1600 Haskell, No. 187. The office phones were out for about an hour Wednesday morning.

Personal phone service of housing authority residents will not be affected during the outage.
