Quail Run librarian wins national award

A Quail Run School librarian won a national award touting her vision and leadership by using information technology to build lifelong learners.

Jennifer Gorup won the American Association of School Librarians Information Technology Pathfinder Award. Gorup received the award at a luncheon Monday in Chicago as part of the American Library Association Annual Conference.

As part of the honor, Gorup received $1,000 and the Quail Run library will get $500.

The award is sponsored by Follett Software Co. and has been presented to teachers nationwide since 1985.
