Folks still wavering about whether to join the masses for Downtown Lawrence’s annual Sidewalk Sale now have fewer excuses to lean on.
The Lawrence Transit System is offering free bus rides Thursday to and from the central business district, where bargain-hungry shoppers will be expected to comb through streetside stacks, racks and other displays from sunrise to sunset.
“With an event that brings so much business to downtown, the Sidewalk Sale is a great time to try the T,” said Robert Nugent, transit administrator.
Fares will be waived on the system’s eight fixed routes, including seven that serve the downtown hub. Service runs from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Awful, absolutely dreadful. I wish you could have kept that jewel to yourself.

You do get Ice T on The T. Those buses are like riding on mobile meat lockers.
