Westar Energy had to make emergency repairs to its network this afternoon and cut power for about 20 minutes to the eastern portions of the KU campus.

Power has since been restored. The repairs were initially expected to take an hour, but were completed more quickly.

No other Lawrence Westar customers were without power, according to the company’s Web site.
