KU establishes new technology contracts
Two new technology contracts at Kansas University will save KU money, the university announced Wednesday.
An institution-wide contract with Oracle will allow coordination on planning, purchasing and service delivery of database programs and software licensing.
The Oracle agreement is a three-year, $2.8 million contract and will save nearly 90 percent in related hardware costs and will reduce administrative management costs.
A cable television contract with Apogee is for about $200,000, nearly half its previous contract.
