Kansas University’s Unclassified and University Support Staff senates will host a food drive on campus from July 13-17.

The donations benefit ECKAN Just Food, a partnership of local food pantries. The food drive is scheduled for July to combat shortages in supply and higher demand that typically occur during summer.

Donations of non-perishable food items will be collected at several campus buildings, including Anschutz Library, Burge Union, Computer Center, Facilities Operations Warehouse, Kansas Union, KU Endowment, Parking and Transit office, Strong Hall rotunda, Ambler Student Recreation Fitness Center and Watson Library.

I think maybe if someone drove down the "student ghetto" streets around the end of june and july you could end up with TONS of food that the students dont know what to do with as they are moving out. Nobody really wants to throw cans of food away but nobody is going to pack it up either.

I agree. That and a July 15-31 drive would be good, I bet, as well as a dorm move-out drive.
