Local attorney attends estate planning seminar

Lawrence attorney Bob Ramsdell attended the “Estate Planning in Depth” seminar presented by the American Law Institute and the American Bar Association, June 14-19 at the University of Wisconsin Law School in Madison.

The seminar featured a faculty of planners drawn nationwide and was designed to address advanced estate planning issues. Topics included wealth transfer taxation, asset protection planning, premarital agreements, the use of trusts for charitable and asset-protection purposes, and the use of life insurance and retirement benefits in estate planning.

Ramsdell, a shareholder with the Lawrence firm of Thompson Ramsdell & Qualseth P.A., is a graduate of Kansas University’s School of Law and also earned a Master of Business Administration from Dartmouth College.
