KU’s entrepreneurial program gets grant

A Kansas University entrepreneurship program has received a $165,918 grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce.

The KU Entrepreneurship Works for Kansas program will receive the funding, allowing for a second year of operation.

Wally Meyer, director of entrepreneurship programs in KU’s School of Business, said the program involves students working on business projects benefiting economically challenged areas of the state.

The grant is matched with private funds from KU.
