Voters invited to candidate forum
Voters will have an opportunity next week to meet candidates for the Lawrence City Commission and the Lawrence school board.
The Voter Education Coalition — a nonpartisan group that promotes voter participation — will be host to its first event of the year from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the commons area at Free State High School.
The event will be set up in a “candidate fair” format, in which voters will be able to circulate to candidate tables to learn more about each person running for election. Each candidate will have an opportunity to briefly address the entire gathering.
