The Owens Flower Shop and University Floral, both in Lawrence, have merged.

The University Floral location on West 28th Terrace will be closed Friday, and all floral and gift services will be consolidated into the Owens location at 846 Ind.

“We know how important University Floral customers are to owners John and Laura Landgrebe, and we are very happy they chose Owens to provide quality floral products and services to those customers,” said Sharon Reynolds, president of Owens.

Laura Landgrebe has operated University Floral for 15 years. She will continue to be involved with major event planning and corporate functions with Owens, which has operated in Lawrence for more than 80 years.

Customer accounts have been merged and telephone and Internet orders are being forwarded to Owens. University customers will receive a final bill from University Floral in January. Beginning Sunday, all Owens and University customers will receive statements from Owens.
