Mark A. Hess, CRS, has been appointed regional vice president for the Council of Residential Specialists. He will be responsible for Region 8, which covers Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota.

Hess will serve as a liaison between the CRS chapters and the national council and will aid in the development of the chapters. In addition, he will work with state associations of Realtors to increase the awareness of the CRS designation, the highest designation awarded to Realtors.

Hess has been an active member of the council since 1999. He is also involved in the Kansas Association of Realtors and the Lawrence Board of Realtors.

Hess is an agent with Realty Executives, Hedges Real Estate.
