Lawrence Parks and Recreation will host a three-hour self-defense class Saturday for people 13 and older.
The session will last from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Community Building, 11th and Vermont streets, and will cost $16 per person. The class will provide self-defense fundamentals as well as awareness and risk-assessment information.
Two instructors with experience in martial arts and self-defense tactics will teach the class. Registration is available at any Lawrence Parks and Recreation facility as well as on the department’s Web site, lprd.org.
