Give Kids A Smile Day
Free dental examinations and x-rays for children under the age of 18
- When: Friday, February 6, 2009, 8 a.m. to noon

The Douglas County Dental Clinic will provide free dental examinations and X-rays for children under age 18 for “Give Kids A Smile Day” on Feb. 6.
In order to qualify for the services, the child must live in Douglas County, the household income must be at 200 percent of the federal poverty level or below, and the child cannot have dental insurance, including Healthwave or other state insurance.
Appointments for these free examinations will be on a first-come, first-serve basis, and appointments must be set by Jan. 30. A parent or guardian must accompany patients in order for the clinic to offer its services.
The Douglas County Dental Clinic, 316 Maine St., is a nonprofit community clinic serving Douglas County residents.

Hi folks! I just wanted to make a correction on this. The hours for Give Kids A Smile Day will be 8am - 12pm on Friday February 6, 2009. Thank you to the LJWorld for posting this so quickly!
