Charges filed in weekend K10 shooting

Douglas County prosecutors charged three people Monday related to a weekend crime spree that included an alleged Lawrence robbery and shots fired at a vehicle near Eudora Saturday morning on Kansas Highway 10.

Christopher Lee Forbush-Willis, 21, Olathe, and Terrell Donnell Griffin, 23, Gardner, face charges of aggravated robbery, attempted aggravated robbery and criminal discharge of a firearm. Forbush-Willis also faces a charge of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

Lindsey Leigh Abram, 23, of Gardner, faces three charges for aiding and abetting the two suspects.

David Melton, a chief assistant Douglas County district attorney, said the suspects are accused of holding up two people early Saturday morning in the 1600 block of West Ninth Street. Eudora police apprehended the vehicle on Kansas Highway 10 after a man, who was not injured, reported someone fired shots at his vehicle.

All three suspects made their first appearances in court Monday afternoon. They are next scheduled to appear Wednesday afternoon before District Judge Michael Malone.
