Ryan Wedel has joined Landmark National bank as vice president and manager of its Lawrence market.

Wedel is responsible for supervising daily operations of Landmark’s operations in Lawrence, plus working to boost the bank’s number of retail and commercial customers. His office is in the bank branch at 2710 Iowa.

“Ryan’s commercial lending experience and his community involvement make him a tremendous asset to Landmark and our expanding customer base,” said Brad Chindamo, market president for Landmark in Lawrence, Osawatomie, Paola, Louisburg and Fort Scott. “Ryan is a perfect fit for Landmark and our focus on quality customer service.”

Wedel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Emporia State University, and received the Award of Outstanding Achievement from the Graduate School of Banking in Colorado. In 2005, the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce named Wedel as Wally Galluzzi Chamber Volunteer of the Year.

He is a member of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado Alumni Advisory Board.

Manhattan-based Landmark Bancorp Inc. is the bank holding company for Landmark National Bank. The company announced Friday that it was purchasing a CornerBank branch at 4621 W. Sixth, in Lawrence.
