Before the state’s legislative session gets under way, local politicians want to listen to their constituents.

The Douglas County legislative delegation is having pre-session hearings from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Curriculum Conference room of the Lawrence school district headquarters, 110 McDonald Drive.

Area organizations have been invited to present their legislative agendas and issues at the hearing.

The state Legislature will convene on Jan. 12.
