On Sunday, KU will meet Iowa State in the Jayhawks’ annual “Pink Zone” game to support breast cancer research.

Kansas University women’s basketball and Kansas Athletics hope to raise awareness and funds for the fight against breast cancer during Sunday’s game against Iowa State.

The Jayhawks will wear pink-and-blue uniforms during the game that starts at noon at Allen Fieldhouse. Kansas Athletics will donate $1 for every fan in attendance, with the money being divided between Lawrence Memorial Hospital and KU Cancer Center. The donations will go toward supporting breast cancer treatment and research. KU Athletics donated $6,122 last year.

In addition, the first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive a free pink T-shirt.

Kansas head coach Bonnie Henrickson will be donating an additional $1 out of her own pocket for each KU student in attendance.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children ages 5 to 17. Tickets may be purchased at the Allen Fieldhouse ticket office, by phone at 800-344-2957 or online at kuathletics.com.
