Model railroad show coming to fairgrounds
The eighth annual Lawrence Model Railroad Show and Swap Meet is rolling into town next weekend.
The show lasts from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Feb. 21 in Building 21 of the Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds, 2120 Harper St.
Today, Checkers will accept donated canned foods for the Lawrence Interdenominational Nutrition Kitchen in exchange for $1 off admission to the train show.
The collection will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the grocery store, 2300 La.
Today is LINK’s 24th anniversary of serving food to the hungry in Lawrence.
