Candidate forum to occur Monday
Lawrence City Commission and school board candidates will participate in a question-and-answer forum on Monday.
The City Commission portion of the forum will begin at 7 p.m., followed by the school board portion at 8 p.m. Both will take place at Lawrence City Hall, Sixth and Massachusetts streets.
The forum is sponsored by the Voter Education Coalition, and will feature questions regarding budget and economic issues both from panelists and from members of the audience.
The Voter Education Coalition has scheduled three other candidate events before the April 7 elections.
Those dates are:
• March 18 at City Hall. School board forum begins at 6:30 p.m. and City Commission forum begins at 8 p.m.
• A school board-only forum on March 25 at the school district offices, 110 McDonald Drive.
• A City Commission-only forum on March 30 at Lawrence High School, 19th and Louisiana streets.
