Vital service

There seems to be no lack of criticisms for our Lawrence Transit System. However, Saturday was the first time in the history of our public transportation system that buses did not run.
Well, at least not most buses. Lawrence Transit staff took it upon themselves to take out paratransit vans and pick up patients that needed vital, life-sustaining treatments at Kansas Dialysis Services at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. You have the right to criticize, of course, but not only is the service reliable, they have a staff that is willing to go “above and beyond” regular service.
