LINK needs servers to volunteer their time to the New Year’s Day lunch. The meal will be served at the First Christian Church, 221 W. 10th St., and volunteers will be needed from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. to help prepare, serve and clean up. Immediate needs

• The Villages is looking for a volunteer to teach yoga to youths.

A weekday, or possibly Sunday, session lasting 30 minutes to an hour is desired. Contact Sheila at stinsley@thevillagesinc.org if you can help out.

• The Girl Scouts need your help! On Jan. 8, a semitrailer truck will be bringing cookies to the arena at the Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds. Lots of helpers will be needed to sort and count the boxes to get them ready for the leaders of more than 80 troops. There are many shifts available.
