Tragic joke
To the editor:
If anyone doubts who will benefit from the Senate-passed health care reform bill (actually, health insurance reform bill), just check the meteoric rise in insurance industry stock since the proposal was approved by the Senate a few days ago. Again, the fat cats get fatter and, again, you and I are paying the bill and getting an empty brown bag in return.
A government of, by and for the people? What a tragic joke. Sadly, the GOP proposals are even worse. Merry Christmas.
