Does anyone know what happens to all those who are not getting meals delivered to them as they are accustomed to receiving? Do other organizations take them meals or do they just not get food on those days?

That is a good question. I was unable to find a clear answer on Google. I am thinking that the meals are delivered once a day to those who qualify. For those who can't cook at all I would hope that someone is doing something. It is not just on Christmas but funding is being cut to these agencies and they may have to stop operating altogether. Maybe the Journal World will investigate this and give us some answers.

I know that people who receive meals through the Meals program at Douglas County Senior Services get shelf stable meals that can be used on the days that a meal is not delivered. The Community Christmas Dinner volunteers deliver dinner on Christmas.
