Act of kindness

To the editor:

After reading about the man’s $40 cash that was lost at the grocery store, I REALLY want to tell my story. This week, I shared a nice Christmas lunch with friends at the restaurant TEN at the Eldridge Hotel. When I got home, I realized that I had lost my necklace. My heart sank and tears filled my eyes because it was a very special necklace from a dear friend.

I called TEN and a very helpful young man even looked in the booth where I sat, but no necklace. He kindly took my name and phone number. Minutes later, a young lady, the manager, called to say my necklace had been found by a woman who turned it in. I want to sincerely thank everyone involved. It is heartwarming to know there are still honest, caring people in this world. A Merry Christmas and a blessed new year to all!
