For people who want to dispose of their live Christmas trees after the holiday season, the city has established three days on which trash crews will pick up the trees.

Solid waste crews will do special curbside pickups on Dec. 28, Jan. 4 and Jan. 11. The city recommends having the trees out to the curb by 6 a.m. The trees also should be free of tinsel, lights and other decorations.

The trees will be collected and used for wildlife habitats in the area.
