Library to launch new business center

The Lawrence Public Library will open its new business center with an official ribbon cutting at 11:30 a.m. today at the library, 707 Vt.

The business center is on the lower level of the library. Some of the services it will provide are:

• access to online and print business reference materials, including business reference databases and marketing research.

• use of a small conference room.

• access to experienced reference librarian assistance, as well as the expertise of the KU Small Business Development Center and the Lawrence Workforce Center.

• use of the Center’s videoconferencing equipment.

• access to quiet workspace while using the library’s Internet.

• business events and programs for local small businesses and entrepreneurs.
