The Douglas County Women Attorneys group will hold a silent auction starting at noon Thursday at the Eldridge Hotel, 701 Mass.

Proceeds of the auction will benefit Lawrence Habitat for Humanity. The goal, said local attorney Kathy Kirk, is to raise the $6,000 needed to finish a Habitat home being built for the Mendoza family on East 15th Street.

The public is welcome to attend.
