Girls Scout troop organizes blood drive
A group of local Girl Scouts is hoping to save lives.
Cadettes in Deerfield School’s Troop 200 are sponsoring the Red Cross Lawrence Blood Drive. The event will be from noon to 6 p.m. Sept. 10 at First Christian Church, 1000 Ky.
Participants are urged to schedule an appointment by calling 1-800-GIVE-LIFE, but walk-ins also are welcome.
In addition to learning about the blood donation process, the sixth-graders will receive a Red Cross patch for helping to organize the event.
