ECKAN will be distributing food items to low-income persons at two locations Thursday.

Food distribution will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at City Hall in Eudora, 4 E. Seventh St., and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the East Lawrence Recreation Center, 1245 E. 15th St.

Individuals and families must meet monthly income guidelines to qualify, and those guidelines can be found on ECKAN’s Web site at www.eckan.org or by calling 785-242-7450.

An ECKAN representative said that the amount of food to be distributed is a supplemental food supply and is not intended to provide food for a entire month. It is recommended that people call ahead of time to sign up and to determine eligibility.
